Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is aimed at assisting a child to function in all spheres of his school or home life, whether he has a physical or learning disability.

Mental Health vs. Intellectual Impairment
Most people find it difficult to talk about mental health issues. Anyone can suffer from or is prone to developing a mental illness.

• The schools vegetable garden is a valuable resource to schools own kitchen, as well as community feeding schemes.

Our gardening program exists to compliment the school Nutritional program which alleviates the problem of learning on an empty stomach. We currently administer our own soup kitchen to 135 learners in desperate need of nutrition. There is a need to extend our program across the school holidays for these learners. Support for the soup kitchen is obtained from our own learner garden, through sponsorships and school fees.

Benefits of our gardening program.
• Our learners are able to acquire valuable skills as gardeners.
• This could be an income generating activity for learners and their families.
• Learners are taught how to prepare basic meals and how to eat healthier.
• Surplus produced is donated to needy NGO’s in our community. Our garden feeds families in the community.
